Family-Centered Dog Training
Arcona Prep offers various services to support puppies and their families navigate this new journey of puppihood! Our services are designed to meet the family where they are in their journey, and tailor services to best support their family and home dynamic.
We don't believe raising a dog is a one size fits all type of experience, so our style of training is flexible and unique to those we are serving.

SERVICES
BOARD & TRAIN
Your puppy will receive individual training anywhere from 2-6 weeks (depending on your preference and training goals) while residing with me, the Arcona Prep trainer and my family.
Your puppy will be a part of our family during that time and will participate in all that we do while being taught appropriate manners, household rules and basic skills. Puppies will be exposed to young children, and dogs of all ages and sizes.
Skills that will be worked on include:
Potty & crate training
Manners such as jumping, puppy biting and counter-surfing
Come, Leave-it, Sit, Down, Stay, Place
Leash Manners
Most importantly we want you to feel a new sense of control when your puppy returns, a sharp attention and response to their handler is our absolute priority!
Every puppy and family is unique, training goals will be discussed prior to training and can be tailored to fit the specific challenges you're having with your puppy.
VIRTUAL CONSULTATION
Getting a puppy can flip your life upside and many just need a point in the right direction from someone who has raised and trained 90+ puppies in their home!
A One Hour Virtual Meeting to Discuss:

Behavioral Management
Strategies for Kids
Sleep and Exercise
Crate Training
Potty Training
One Hour Session- $60
This includes a summary of the session, as well as a detailed outline of the game plan created.
One week later there will be a check-in via email to see how things are going, and if any quick changes need to be made to the plan implemented.
In-home training sessions are taken on a case-by-case basis depending on family needs and location. Please inquire if interested.
ABOUT
My name is Courtney, Arcona Prep's dog trainer! I have always loved dogs, and have found to be most at peace when surrounded by an unruly bunch! My love for training dogs began 14 years ago when I worked to certify my dog as a Therapy Dog to come work with me in my role as a social worker, working in Child Protection.
Five years ago I turned my part-time passion into a full time business, using my license in social work and my skills training dogs to be able to empower families to take control of this new puppy chapter, improve their puppy's behavior and develop that positive relationship we all want when we set out to add a furry friend to our family!
